Willowbank

8"X10" Oil on canvas

This is where I work, the Willowbank School of Restoration Arts. The house was built in 1834 by John Latshaw, for Alexander Hamilton. Constructed of local sandstone, it sits on a 13 acre estate, overlooking the Niagara River, at the base of the escarpent in Queenston Ontario. This (the west) side of the house was originally the back. It became the front entrance when the property was bought by the Bright family in the 1930s.
So far our winter has been relatively mild, this is what it looked like at this time last year.
