Maybe the start of a new series. I have been working in Queenston for over a year now and it really is a very picturesque village. It is about time I started recording some of its charming buildings.
Janice is a good friend to Willowbank and our students.

AKA the Pony Mart.
My other submission to the NAC "Small Feats" fundraiser. This building has hardly changed at all in the past 25-30 years. More bits drop off, that is about it. I hope that someone restores this beautiful roof one day.
This painting iis SOLD

This year again I plan to enter Small Feats at the Niagara Artists Centre. It is a curated art show that is also a fund-raiser for NAC as they keep 50-100% of the proceeds.
This is the first of two paintings that I plan to enter.
This painting is SOLD
Based on a photo that I took a few years ago, this building looks quite different now. Even the roof has been replaced. Here it is on Google Street View

Well this is the final post of my 31 day sketch challenge. It has been a lot more challenging than I anticipated and I haven't managed to do them consecutively, which is I think how it was designed. It has actually taken me almost exactly two months to achieve a month's worth of sketches and some of them have been pretty marginal.
My next project is the annual Small Feats exhibition at the Niagara Artists Centre. I have undertaken to submit 3 12"X12" paintings. I still haven't decided what they will be, but I guess I will come up with something.
